Good Card -- More Information on Bulk Orders

Can I brand the Good Card?
You can use our standard Good Card which is great for the holidays or you can supply your own art and customize the card however you want. A few examples are below to demonstrate the range of options.

STANDARD

BRANDED EXAMPLE NEIMAN MARCUS

BRANDED EXAMPLE THE CASE FOUNDATION

What does the page look like when people redeem the card?
Network for Good's landing page for redemption is here. If you plan to link to this page from your site, we can co-brand the flow so that your logo is persistent once they are on our website (example below).

Is there additional cost do do a branded card?
How long does it take to get an order of cards?

-Standard Card
Once your order is confirmed it can take 7-10 business days for print proof and printing. We recommend expedited shipping.

-Branded Card
We recommend allowing up to 3 weeks for this process to allow time for creating the art to spec for printing, proofing the files and then the actual printing and shipping.

-Email Version
If you are looking for a 'green' option and/or need something in a hurry sending the Good Cards electronically makes most sense for you. We can release the Good Card codes that your customers would use to redeem their gift for charity within 24-48hours from payment. In turn, you can incorporate the Good Card messaging and codes into any of your planned communications like a holiday e-card or employee communication.

An example of our standard email version is below to give you an idea of the messaging you would want to include:

What does the $5 per card cover?
The $5 per card covers the following things:
-The transaction fees so that 100% of the donation goes to the charity of the recipients' choice
-The physical card or email version of the card
-The disbursement of funds to the charities along with reporting
-Customer service

A Quick Guide to Network for Good Web Services

Collect Donations on Your Website

1.2 Million Charities, One Simple Web Service

What It Is
Network for Good’s web services enable your users to search for and donate online to more than 1.2 million charities on your website.

You connect to our web services, and we take care of the rest: the charity search, the credit card transaction, the donor tax receipt, the payment to the nonprofit and all the reporting to nonprofits and to you.

The Specifics: Donating
There are two versions of our web services:

1. Basic Web Service
• One-time, credit card funded donations
• One or more charities per transaction

2. Enhanced Web Service
• One-time, credit card funded donations
• Recurring, credit card funded donations
• One or more charities per transaction
• Ability for your user to save their credit card for later use
• Ability to retrieve your user’s donation history for display on your website

The Specifics: Search
Search is enabled by web services from our partner GuideStar, a comprehensive database of nonprofits.

As the premier source of current nonprofit data, GuideStar allows users to search and select from an extensive database of continually updated listings of more than 1.2 million U.S. tax-exempt nonprofit organizations. GuideStar delivers dynamic data for seamless downstream web integration through Network for Good.

GuideStar has several levels of access to their web services, including a basic search and a comprehensive search with useful information about each nonprofit.

Users benefit from real-time access to the robust GuideStar database within the Network for Good API. In addition, in-house developers can leverage the NFG/GuideStar source code—eliminating the need to build additional web-based applications and saving time and development costs.

The Volunteer Network

200,000 Volunteer Opportunities

One Searchable Database

Easy Integration with Your Website

More people than ever want to volunteer. Nine in ten nonprofits are ready for more volunteers. You can help match good people to good causes by integrating the Volunteer Network into your website.

What It Is
The Volunteer Network is the source for more than 200,000 national, international,
full-time, one-time, ongoing and virtual (volunteering from home) volunteer
opportunities.

How It Works
• Your state signs up.
• You tell us what kinds of volunteer opportunities you want your citizens to
be able to search for on your website.
• We give you a customized search box for your website that allows citizens
to search opportunities.
• We display and host the search results with the look and feel you want.
• We provide citizens links to sign up for opportunities.
• We give you tracking reports so you know who is using the service.

Who Runs It
The Volunteer Network was created in July 2002 through a collaboration between
USA Freedom Corps (www.volunteer.gov), the nonprofit Network for Good and
sixteen major volunteer opportunity partners from across the country.
The Volunteer Network features opportunities from: 1-800-VOLUNTEER.org,
AmeriCorps, boardnetUSA, Citizen Corps, the Corporation for National and
Community Service (MLK day), Hands On Network and Points of Light, Idealist,
National Mentoring Partnership, Peace Corps, SeniorCorps, SERVEnet, United Way,
VolunteerMatch, Volunteer.Gov/Gov and Volunteer2.
